RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
No Jon, He didn't "give" us the wine...He just gave us the brains to figure out how to make it. :E But He did tell us how to use it to remember Him. :B
Oh, now I know why you like going to church so much! :B :R :B :R :B
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Yeah, but Tradewinds, you're assuming that Bigdog will be able to remember where he went, what he had and how good it was (or not) so he can tell us. That is if he can find his way back after all that drinking before we've all left. :B
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Yeah, I could just take my camera downtown to Pioneer Square or First Ave and get some pics of people on the street. Oh, better yet, Capital Hill!!! :B :E With the right pics and a little Photoshop-ing, we could have loads of fun!!! :B :B :B No, wait, I'm going to Disneyworld in a week and I'm sure I could get some real interesting looking tourist couple shots. Boy, this could be fun.
Okay, anybody scared yet? Well, ya better be, so hurry up and get those pics in to me soon, or ya never know what's gonna show up around here. Heck, I've made people fatter, older, balder, and just plain disappear. I'm not so good at making them thinner, younger or have more hair (sorry Hobo). :B
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Hey Bob, that sounds like a good idea. I just hope you're better at creative writing than I am. :B If we can't find any pics of the people coming, maybe they could get someone to take one for them during the holidays. Everybody has a camera out for the holidays, so that should be easy to do.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
You old folks are wimps.
Um, Tom, if I remember correctly, you're older than I am, so that puts you in that "old folks" category from my perspective. :B
TOM is older than you, David, but Laura is not and LAURA is the one who posts here, so THERE. :p :B
Whoa, did Tom rob the cradle or what?!? :E :B

We're going to be heading for the sun and warmer weather in a couple weeks ourselves. Going to Disneyworld for our daughter's 21st birthday. Whoo-hoo! :C :C Gonna leave here at 50 degrees and get there in the mid 80's. The bummer part will be coming back home to the wet and cold. :( Oh well, it's where we live for now.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Yep, had a "lurker" contact me the other day, but haven't heard if they've registered with the park yet. Hope they have. :B I think I PM'd everyone that was at the last rally about this thread, so at least they should know about it. Maybe I should send a reminder after the first of the year when holidays are over with.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Wow, that's pretty low miles for an '88. Next time ya take Jeanne for a ride in it, tell her you have to exercise the motor for the top or it might freeze up. "But honey, it's been years since the top has been down. Come on, please?" :B
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Yeah, the weather's great so we went for a bit of a ride in the Mustang, but I couldn't talk Jeanne into putting the top down..Durn..
Now wait a minute. You got a convertible, it's nice weather and Jeanne doesn't want to put the top down??? :R :E Then what's the point!!!??? Geez Jon. :R Laura has an '04 Mustang convertible and puts the top down almost every time she drives it, except if it's raining or just up to the store and back. She said when she bought it 3 years ago that that's what she'd do, and she's pretty much stuck to it.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
We just got back from a real nice weekend with HanknLinda up at the Mount Vernon Thousand Trails. It was so nice out this morning, we ate breakfast out on the picnic table. Love it when the weather is this nice around here. :C Gonna push our luck and hope for another nice weekend to geo further north to Birch Bay next weekend.
Too bad about the Cougars, they really got a whipping. :E
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Hey, has anybody heard from Steve and Sarah (HR03) lately? I overheard somebody talking about Hoodsport and thought of them and that I hadn't seem them posting around here for quite some time.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Now when we get our new coach over here ...
Gee, for a minute there Hobo I thought you were talking about getting a new rig, but then I realized you were still talking football. :R
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Is this thing sold out? My wife and I would like to go...
Only if we can fill up the park! :C
Anyway, what Tradewinds said. Get your reservations in, let me know you're coming and I'll add you to "our" list as well. But I got to warn you about some of the old timers around this group. They're always looking for fresh blood, so whatever you do...
1. Don't volunteer for anything until you know something about who's asking you.
2. Verify your findings with at least 3 other people, and,
3. I've yet to see anybody dance at any of the past rallies, so don't get suckered into it. :B Well, I did see Hobo's belly dancing around the buffet table one year though. :B
Hey Bigdog, I'll bet you're glad you flew on this trip to NV. I seem to remember the last trip you drove that way you had quite the adventure. Glad to hear you guys had a good time.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Bob,
I hope you're going with Sue. It will make the doctor's job a lot easier to diagnos the problem if they can see first hand what she's had to deal with for so many years. :B :B :B
Seriously though, I hope they do find the cause, but sometimes even with that there may not be a way to fix it. My grandmother went there many years ago and that's what happened with her. She had some nerve damage from a previous surgery that they thought they could fix, but it was only a possibility and not a sure thing, so she decided to live with what she had. And she did a pretty good job of doing that for 30+ years.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Tom, if you're retired, what the heck are you doing with money in the stock market? You should have it in something a bit more stable and way less risky.
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
Nope, not me. I can do some basic web design, but the things that make forums work I don't know anything about (thank goodness). :C Nice try though Bob. :B
RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009
We got a Garmin Nuvi 5000 a few months ago and it has worked just fine on a few trips to wherever it was we were going. It's the one with that really BIG screen! :E 4.7" I believe. And it's really cool when you're using it at night as the maps basically reverse color. But I'm sorta like Jon and like a good old printed map and will print one out ahead of time if I can. What I really like about our GPS is when I don't follow her instructions (cuz I know a better way). Man, does she get an attitued! Almost as bad as Laura's when I don't turn when she says to. :B
